WHEAT MST provides one to one mentoring/befriending support to refugees, asylum seekers, migrants and other vulnerable adults with different needs.

Our Aims

  • To enable Black and Asian Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) and other vulnerable groups from mainstream society achieve their goals and aspirations through one-to-one mentor support and volunteering opportunities
  • To enable BAMER and other vulnerable groups and individuals with less experience to develop skills and make them employable
  • To improve welfare and health among refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and other vulnerable groups of people
  • To cascade the best practice of mentoring by assisting other agencies to set up their own mentoring schemes
  • To improve community cohesion by bringing families together

    Hello dear/sirs. I am from Tigray, this time I am staying in India as asylume seeker. I am from Agriculture back ground and I have worked for more than 8 years and I am very tallented with the sectore. Eventhough I did my Second degree with MBA in human resource management, which is highly un related with profession I had. Therefore I feel getting job will difficult for me because I am not exprienced with profession I gain now. However this opportunity you giving is help full for me to develop my skill in human resource management. Therefor if you can please let me know how I can get this opprtunity to start training with your project and I am highly execited to be part of your program.

    Dear Seifu, thank you for your inquiries re: training. WHEAT MST provides mentor training to support newcomers in the UK at a one-to-one level. Due to the distance barrier, it is difficult to provide the same training opportunity in India. However, I was a student of Human Resources Development (Msc) and we can therefore have an informal chat via zoom or other means to exchange information and ideas in our own areas of specialism.
